AlphaStep Daily Programme from 08h00 to 13h00

07h00 – 07h50: Arrival and free play
08h00 to 08h30: Greeting, Birthdays, Register, News, Weather Chart Discussion of theme topic and weeks letter of the alphabet, number, colour, shape etc. Set the scene for a morning of positive outcomes
08h30 to 09h00:Teacher guided activity in Language *, Mathematics ** and Life Skills ***.
09h00 to 09h45: Teacher guided activity in Language *, Mathematics ** and Life Skills ***. 1 Main activity + 2/3 supporting activities (Fantasy Play, Role Play, Construction Play, Blocks, Educational Toys, Perceptual Games, Puzzles, Book Corner or Quiet Time), Free Play Inside.
09h45 to 11h00 -Tidy Up Inside, mid-morning snack : Free play outside and tidy up – Water Play, Sand Play, Balls, Swings, Wheel Toys, Educational Toys, Jungle Gym, Tyres, Movement Games.
11h00 to 12h00 – 1 Main Teacher guided activity + 2/3 supporting activities (ART , Fantasy Play, Role Play, Construction Play, Blocks, Educational Toys, Perceptual Games, Puzzles, Book Corner or Quiet Time), Free Play Inside, Tidy Up Inside
12h00 2-3 year old group / 12h15 Grade 000 /12h30 Grade 00 -Lunch served.
Children not booked in for after care do not have lunch at school. Story followed by rest/quiet time.
13h00 Lunch served: Grade R pupils.
Pupils attending other schools who attend after care/homework centre have lunch on arrival.
